The MIRAD Train the Trainer course

The course aims to implement and promote the training of criminal justice professionals and community staff, enhance the training capacity of prison, probation and non-governmental organisations, and increase the sustainability of the MIRAD project.

The programme addresses the train-the-trainer strategy, the training of adult learners and the essentials of effectively training criminal justice professionals, how to develop, plan and carry out a training session, and distance-based training.

This course is available only in English. The total duration of the e-Learning course is technically estimated at around 5 hours:

  • Modules I – 50 minutes
  • Module II – 50 minutes
  • Module III – 50 minutes
  • Module IV – 50 minutes
  • Module V – 70 minutes

Registration

Who can complete the training course?

The MIRAD ‘Train the Trainer’ training programme is directed to technical staff (e.g., psychologist, educator, social worker) – or others responsible for completing risk and/or vulnerability assessments – from the prison, probation and community contexts in Bulgaria, France, Greece, Poland, and Spain.

Moreover, it aims at those responsible for training within their organisations. It strives to enhance practitioners’ competencies and skills in training other practitioners.

We kindly inform you that the ‘Train the Trainer’ programme is now fully available, and the ‘Integrated Approach to Radicalisation for Prison, Probation and Community’ will be accessible in the second quarter of 2023.

After successfully registering, you should expect to receive an e-mail in due time with your credentials (username and password) to log in to the Corrections Learning Academy and access the training course.
