The ‘Integrated Approach to Radicalisation‘

January 16, 2023

The ‘Integrated Approach to Radicalisation for Prison, Probation and Community’ course strives to enhance prison, probation, and community staff’s theoretical knowledge in the fields of radicalisation prevention, assessment and intervention. The programme will be delivered to practitioners in Bulgaria, France, Greece, Poland, and Spain in their national languages.

The training programme has three main themes:

  • it contextualises the phenomenon of radicalisation, enabling an understanding of its terminology, similar concepts, risk factors and mechanisms
  • it explores risk and needs assessment instruments in the prison, probation and community settings, namely the RRAP Toolset and its Individual Radicalisation Screening instrument
  • it details the dynamic security, intervention principles and approaches, and exit programmes, finalising with the WayOut Evaluation and Methodological Frameworks

The total duration of the e-Learning course is technically estimated at around 10 hours:

  • Module I – 210 minutes
  • Module II – 280 minutes
  • Module III – 120 minutes
