Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers

The Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers is a higher education institution dedicated to lifelong vocational training, a meeting place for the academic and professional worlds. In the past years, the CNAM has been involved in research targeting radicalization issues, with, for instance, CEDAR, a European project that gathered a group of experts to prevent radicalization. Elyamine Settoul, the coordinator of the Mirad project, is a lecturer at the Conservatoire national des arts et métiers and a PhD in political science at the Institut d’études politiques de Paris (2012). His research focuses on security/defence issues, immigration issues and radicalization. He has participated in numerous European research projects and is an expert on radicalization phenomena at numerous structures (radicalization observatory, ministries, local authorities, prison administration, etc.)

As project coordinator, CNAM will ensure the efficient operationalisation of MIRAD, along with the achievement of its objectives, the enforcement of the project’s timeline and respect of the conditions set in the Grant Agreement.
