Association les Militants des Savoirs

The association Militants des Savoirs aims to participate in popular education and open up university knowledge to the urgent needs of the population. Created 10 years ago by 3 academics, it has been involved from the start in the approach of the Anna Lindh Foundation for peace and culture in the Mediterranean. Little by little, the association listening to society has developed tools to prevent digital violence and then radicalization. By partnering with the UNESCO chair for the prevention of radicalization and violent extremism, the association has for 6 years developed training programs, audit tools and educational systems to act with local actors as closely as possible.

The Militants des Savoirs association supports and/or manages local, regional, national or international projects promoting new forms of mediation or appropriation of knowledge and enabling young people to appropriate the values ​​of republic and to fight against extremism. The association will support MIRAD regarding Islamist-extremism, considering the prevalence of this issue in the French territory where it is based.
